Interior Design FAQs Charlotte NC | Stacy Nicole Interiors

Question 1

Can I shop on my own?

Accepted Answer

You have hired Stacy Nicole Interiors, Inc. to design and complete a vision for your space, and we ask that you do not select or purchase items because that selection may not be a fit for the design, space, or budget. You will receive a detailed specification for items to be purchased directly.

Question 2

What additional costs can I expect?

Accepted Answer

Stacy Nicole Interiors does its best to give clients a full cost outlook for each item, but additional costs such as storage, shipping, installation, or unexpected labor may occasionally occur.

Question 3

Do you work with contractors?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Stacy Nicole Interiors enjoys working with other design professionals to create custom spaces and prefers to work with professionals used on previous projects. Stacy Nicole Interiors does not provide contractor services, and independent architects and contractors are not employees of Stacy Nicole Interiors.

Question 4

How long do projects normally last?

Accepted Answer

The timeline depends on the project scope and the items purchased. Delays may occur due to weather, vendor schedules, factory mistakes, or other unforeseen factors outside of Stacy Nicole Interiors’ control. Clients and all professionals involved are expected to avoid causing unnecessary project delays.

Question 5

How do I place an order?

Accepted Answer

After receiving a proposal, clients have three days to accept or decline the item. Acceptance requires a signed copy of the proposal or approval through Studio Projects, along with full payment. No item will be ordered until the signed proposal and full payment are received.

Question 6

Can I change my mind after an order is placed?

Accepted Answer

Most orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable. If a full refund is possible, the client may receive a refund for the item’s cost minus the purchasing fee and any other applicable charges. Time spent on canceled orders will be billed hourly. Custom orders are non-refundable.

Question 7

When are payments due?

Accepted Answer

Additional proposals must be approved and paid within three days. Invoices for time billing and reimbursable expenses are due within 14 days. Any invoice overdue by more than 30 days will incur a 10% late fee per month, and all work will be paused until payment is received.

Question 8

How are items delivered?

Accepted Answer

Stacy Nicole Interiors conducts one comprehensive installation of all items, including furniture and accessories purchased. Items bought through Stacy Nicole Interiors are stored in a licensed, bonded, insured, and climate-controlled warehouse until installation day. Stacy Nicole Interiors does not deliver items directly to client spaces or in multiple trips. Clients are responsible for all shipping, storage, and delivery fees.
